Foothills CrossFit is sad to announce that it will be closing on Thursday, June 16th. Words cannot adequately express how thankful we are to have had such a dedicated and passionate community of athletes for the past 2 years. This Week

What does it say about the CrossFit community that we cheer harder for the guy who finishes last than the guy that finishes first?! This week we will be highlighting the members of our quickly growing community, sharing their stories of success, frustration, gains in strength and self-confidence. (As well as their inevitable loss of weight and inches, which occured mainly in the men - what is up with that?)

Not to be outdone by either Alisha or Tony - Linnette shows up telling us about her pants that had shrunk and the fact that she was wearing 2 different colored socks. What is going on with these people that they can do crazy, killer workouts but they can't figure out their clothing situation?

We don't know why Lida had hand prints on her butt after finishing Filthy Fifty, but we do know that she beat her previous time by 14 minutes! Lida, whatever you need to do to beat your time by that much, you go for it!

Robyn doing floor wipers from the pullup bars. Womens Health Magazine had a "fitness model" photographed demonstrating this move and noted that the man holding up the model's rear end had been "air-brushed" out of the photo because she herself could not do what was asked of her. They also noted that they found only a professional wrestler and a volleyball player that could pull it off. I wonder if those 2 do CrossFit because all of us CrossFitters could do this with no problem. Hmmmmmmmmmm....

This is Kyle Maynard. He is a CrossFitter. He is also the most inspirational human being we have ever met. He spoke at the FilFest Affiliate Gathering this weekend and left us speechless. He also made us realize that we can move beyond all of our limitations if we believe. And as CrossFitters, we do.

Tires are ridiculous. And there are so many things you can do with tires that really aren't that much fun, like flipping them and carrying them overhead and trying to pull them when they weigh 200#. Foothills CrossFit LOVES tires.

Victoria on her way to doing her first kipping pullup! We've been watching her practice this almost everyday. Commitment pays off in huge ways!

Tony successfully completes his 1 rep max deadlift of 300# after spending lots of time perfecting his form and moving up in weight. It was worth every minute of his practice time, as is everything we practice in CrossFit. Great job Tony!
